So, I’ve been meaning to post for at least four days now, but I kept falling asleep. Must be going through a growth spurt.
Anyway, the farmer’s market at the Dike East opened on July 1st. It’s open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I’m not 100% sure what time they get there in the morning, but they’re set up by lunchtime at noon,. They close up shop by about 5pm. There aren’t a lot of stands, but Driscolls has really good stuff. I picked up this ginormous basil plant for $5. Sure beats paying $3 for a tiny package at the grocery. I can almost taste the pesto sauce as I type.
